What is FlatPower?
Welcome to FlatPower: Revolutionizing safe electric car charging over sidewalks.
Born from an idea in 2021 in Noordwijk in The Netherlands. FlatPower tackles a growing challenge for EV owners of charging without the convenience of their own private parking or driveways. This often forces drivers to resort to unsafe workarounds, such as loose cables snaking across sidewalks, hazardous cable mats, improvised bridges, and even using doormats as cable covers.
The birth
of FlatPower
This problem inspired action and led to the birth of FlatPower. The goal was clear: to develop a product that would allow electric vehicle owners to charge their car in a simple and safe way, even when the charging cable crosses the sidewalk. Not only enabling those without a driveway or parking space to utilize their electricity for charging, but also providing a solution to reduce dependence on often expensive and not always available public charging stations.
After three years of brainstorming, development, testing, further development and testing again, the FlatPower charging cable will be available to you starting in 2024. Developed in the Netherlands, fully produced in the EU.
