General

To use the Type 2 cable at home with its own power, you need a charging station.

If your sidewalk is less than 2 meters wide, you can lay the too-long piece of flat cable a little further into your front yard. You may then also need a shorter round cable on the house side.

In principle, that is possible, partly depending on the type of EV box you can use the power from your solar panels to charge your car.

No, the flat design has the same resistance as a normal round cable.

Yes, a manual is included.

Each municipality in the Netherlands handles it differently. Check with your municipality to see if it is allowed.

No, the cable is designed for use over the sidewalk.

Currently, we only sell a Type 2 cable. That means you need a charging station to use the cable. In the future, we expect to provide a cable with a home charger as well.

Please email us at cables@flatpower.com with your order number. Please include in your e-mail what exactly is defective with your cable and, if possible, include a photo.

The FlatPower cable is designed to IP55 rating, which means it is safe to use outdoors.

Most electric cars have a Type 2 connector. If you are not sure if your car has a Type 2 connector, you can check with the dealer.

If so, it is best to contact your municipality directly and introduce the FlatPower cable. You can also email us at cables@flatpower.tech with information about the municipality in question. We will then be happy to see if we can contact the municipality.

Power: 400 volts, 16 amps, 11kW , 3 Phase

The charging speed depends on the charging station itself. A public charging station with 22 kW capacity will charge much faster than the 11 kW that the cable can charge.

As with standard (round) cables, resistance increases as the cable gets longer.

Basically, the cable can be used for any charging station with a type 2 connector.

You are solely responsible and therefore liable for anything you place on public roads. FlatPower accepts no liability or claims.

No, we do not sell or install charging stations.

No, we do not have a store or showroom. We operate exclusively through the web shop.

We basically do not work with distributors. But of course you may send us a message to cables@flatpower.tech.

Delivery and Shipping

After we receive the order, it is scheduled for production. Since each cable is custom made, delivery time after order is approximately 10 business days.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation with a Track & Trace code, allowing you to track the shipment. Through this link you can find the exact delivery date once it has been scheduled by the courier.

The delivery person offers the order at the delivery address. Should you not be present during the first delivery attempt, you will receive a notification of this. This can be through a bill in the mailbox, via the Track & Trace link or via email.

The delivery driver will let you know where your order is:

  1. They offer the order next day again
  2. The order is with the neighbors
  3. The order is at a pickup point

Note: If the package is not picked up at the pickup location, the package will be returned to us. Shipping costs for a new shipment will be borne by the customer.

The cable is a custom-made product that cannot be returned. In some exceptional cases, you can still return the cable. Please read here all about the right of return.

If you wish to cancel the order, please contact us as soon as possible by email at cables@flatpower.tech, quoting your order number. Products are individually made to order. Once your cable is in production, the order cannot be cancelled.

If the order has not yet been registered with the delivery service, your address may be changed. Please inform us of this in a timely manner. Once the order is registered, we unfortunately cannot change the address.

No, shipping within the Netherlands is free.

Yes, you can have a shipment delivered to one of the ServicePoints/Service Point/Parcelshops(pickup point) in the Netherlands.

Please note: You can only provide this via the delivery person or Track & Trace link and depends individually on the delivery service.

We are sorry to hear this and hope you received the cable intact.

If the cable was damaged in transit, please contact us at cables@flatpower.tech within 5 business days with your order number and photos of the damaged box and cable.

If the cable is marked ”not available,” please send us a message via our contact form. We will send you an email as soon as the cable is available again.

If you would like to receive your order by express, please email us at cables@flatpower.tech. If you have already placed your order, please include your order number in your message. We will then contact you to discuss options.

Returning

In order to help you quickly and efficiently and, if necessary, send a new product to you, please send us a picture of the cable via e-mail to cables@flatpower.tech. Please make sure the cable is clearly visible, paying special attention to any damage. Please also include a picture of the product code and do not forget to include the order number in the e-mail. Once we receive the required information, we will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 2 business days.

No, there is no charge for returning a defective cable.

A defective cable can be returned within the warranty period. If there is no improper use, you will receive a new cable.

In that case, please send a description of the defect to cables@flatpower.tech

You will receive further instructions from us. You cannot return the cable without prior notification.

Order

Did you not receive a confirmation of your order? If so, something may have gone wrong. Please send an email to cables@flatpower.tech with your details.

Did you discover an error in your order or did you want to order a different cable length and want to cancel the order? Please report this immediately to cables@flatpower.tech quoting your order number. Once the cable has gone into production the order cannot be changed or cancelled.

If you can no longer find the invoice for your order, or if you did not receive an invoice, please send an e-mail to cables@flatpower.tech stating your order number. We will be happy to send you a copy of your invoice.

Pay

No, that is not possible

You select the payment method ‘Online Payment’ and click on ‘next step’. We ask you to check your order and then confirm by clicking ‘place order’. Now we automatically lead you to the secure payment environment of Mollie, where you can log in to the familiar internet environment of your own bank. Here you can then use iDEAL to make the payment.

You select the payment method ‘PayPal’ and click on ‘next step’. We ask you to check your order and then confirm by clicking ‘place order’. You will be redirected directly to the PayPal website during checkout.

You select the payment method ‘Credit Card’ and click on ‘next step’. We ask you to check your order and then confirm by clicking ‘place order’. You then only need to enter your card details and authorize the payment.

Warranty

All items you buy from us are covered by the statutory 24-month warranty.

The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.

If you have a warranty claim, i.e. your cable is defective through no fault of your own and it is still within the warranty period, please email us at cables@flatpower.tech. In this e-mail, please include your order number, an explanation of the defect and clear photos (in case of visible damage).

If you have a defective product outside the warranty period, we can no longer take back your cable. You can still contact us at cables@flatpower.tech with your problem. We will then see if we can still help you with a solution.
